We mark provider recommendations with rel="sponsored" for search engines, in line with Google's guidance on disclosing paid or affiliate links.

Does this affect our recommendations?

Our rankings and ratings are based on network coverage testing, plan pricing and value, and reader feedback — not on which provider pays the highest commission. We review and recommend providers we don't have any commercial relationship with when we think they're the better choice for a specific trip or budget, including in cases where that means recommending a competitor over Safari eSIM.

That said, we're not neutral in the way a government consumer-protection agency is neutral: we only review providers that are relevant to Kenya travel, and we prioritize testing and updating providers that readers actually use. If a factor other than merit ever shapes a specific recommendation, we'll say so on that page.
